We headed out of the RV park about 7:00 am for Vancouver Island to visit the city of Victoria. We thought we had left early enough to be on the 9am ferry to the island. When we arrived to purchase our ticket they told us we would be on standby for the ferry. The ferry loaded and we were 5 cars short of getting on the 9am ferry so we had to wait until 11am. We arrived in Victoria about 12:40pm and headed around to visit the sights. We took the scenic drive and saw lots of sights, pretty houses, boats and flowers. Victoria is a very beautiful city but again a big city! We went to fisherman's warf and had some seafood, shot a few photos and headed down to antique row to visit a few antique shops. While we saw some very unique items we kept our money in our pocket! We then headed back to the ferry hopeing to be able to get on the 7pm ferry. Arriving at the ticket gate 2 HOURS before the 7pm ferry we were told we would be on standby for 7pm. We were 10 cars short.... so we waited for the 9pm ferry and read some magazines, walked around the shops and ate a fast food supper before boarding the 9pm ferry back to the mainland.
