From November 1972 to early 1980's I was a Air Reserve Technician at Carswell, AFB near Fort Worth, Texas. The early years were spent as a Fire Control Systems Technician on the F-105s. I maintained the electronics and radar system that controlled the weapons (Firepower) of the F-105. After a few years the Information Officer of the reserve Fighterline newspaper notice me shooting photos and she asked me to shoot some for the newspaper which later led to a position being created in the 457tfs squadron as the person in charge of gun film cameras, the photo lab and shooting photographs for the 457 Tactical Fighter squadron, 301st Tactical Fighter Wing and even Carswell AFB. This album provides you with a few of the thousands of photos I shot during that timeframe.
